Our story

This is the most shoddy and disappointing experience of my life so far . The building pictured opposite is housing our son . He was released from prison a few days ago and he managed to contact us from here on a borrowed mobile phone . Had he not done that we would not know his whereabouts . He is scared out of his wits . Nothing is being done to prepare him for the outside world . There is no reception at the building . There is no signage to inform visitors . My son has nothing . shoes with no laces . dirty prison grey joggers . a three week old tee shirt . He struggles to finish saying things . he is uneasy at all times . We his parents are desperate to help him . Nobody is co-operating with us

Reception

Both my partner and myself have been told "you are on a probation list and should not be on the premises" .. this is a completely meaningless and useless statement helping nobody . Our son is being conditioned into a zombie who believes he has nobody on the outside and is coming out to nothing . no housing . no income . no employment or training .. do you the reader think he is likely to reoffend? .. It costs between GBP 60,000 and GBP 120,000 per year to house a prisoner in the UK which is where he is heading back to .. it costs nothing to connect this young man with his loving parents .. this is your money they are taking .. wages for what? .. to keep people in the prison system .. and get more wages!
